Felicity Stewart, Principal

ISTD DDE (Tap), CPD Safeguarding children, CPD Protecting children in entertainment, Chaperone Licensed


Felicity is the daughter of Elizabeth Fenton and danced at The Elizabeth Fenton School of Dancing since she was 3 years old.


Felicity took senior examinations and gained her Advanced 2 in Tap, National and Modern as well as Intermediate Ballet. She followed her mother’s footsteps and gained a place at Doreen Bird college before taking a break and going into the business world.


Felicity also has gained a NVQ Level 3 in leadership and management and a Diploma in event management. Felicity is trained in child safeguarding and protecting children in entertainment.


She has experience in festival competitions with dances getting places to the All England Dance Finals.

Helen Thompson, Head of Dance

ISTD DDE (Tap, Ballet), LISTD (Modern), Diploma in Musical Theatre, Chaperone Licensed


Graduated from Studio La Pointe (SLP) Leeds, with three Associates & a Diploma in Musical Theatre in 2001.

Helen then went onto performing in several London shows which included Fame and 42nd Street and is now currently teaching for the Elizabeth Fenton School of Dance; Maidenhead. 


Within the last few years Helen has choreographed and produced many successful shows, also achieving exceptional examination results from her pupils.


Helen has previously coached numerous students towards their teaching qualifications and is widely recognised for her work amongst her peers and examiners.


Helen’s choreography has been performed in several festivals, with solos and group performances qualifying for the All England Dance Finals.

Elizabeth Fenton, Assistant Head of Dance & Founder

R.A.D (Ballet), AISTD (Ballet, Modern, National), Chaperone Licensed


Elizabeth trained at Bird College, Sidcup, gaining I.S.T.D. advance examinations and Associates in Imperial Ballet, Modern and National.


She also has teacher membership of The Royal Academy of Dance. Following a family move to Berkshire, Elizabeth started a village dance school at Sonning on Thames, and was assistant to The Janet Goodier School at Maidenhead.


Two years later, Elizabeth took over the school of 80 pupils in Maidenhead.


The school has expanded over the years with the introduction of other genres of dance. Elizabeth is now our main ballet festival teacher, getting pupils to the All England Finals, Dance World Cup and winning many places at local competitions.

Sophie Griffiths, Ballet Teacher

R.A.D (Ballet), ISTD Fellowship (Ballet), Level 6 Diploma in Professional Dance


Sophie started dancing when she was 3 years old and at the age of 8 gained a place at The Royal Ballet School's Junior associates program. There she continued her training through the Mid and Senior associates. Sophie was awarded a scholarship place at The English National Ballet School at the age of 16 and went on to perform with the English National Ballet company in her final year before graduating with a National Diploma in Professional Dance. 


Unfortunately, due to injury she was not able to continue as a professional dancer and went on become an international master trainer and presenter for Reebok, presenting their Jukari fitness program which was a collaboration between Cirque du Soleil and Reebok around the world. 


Sophie then made the decision to train to become a dance teacher gaining her DDI in 2013. She has gone on to achieve her DDE and more recently Licentiate in 2018 and Fellowship in 2022.


Sophie has coached many students at all levels and helped them achieve excellent exam results and has choreographed for both festivals and shows.

Molly Southall, Teacher

ISTD DDI (Modern), Acrobatics Arts Qualified, BA Hons Dance, Chaperone Licenced


Molly is a dancer and teacher from Devon who has danced since the age of 3 in ISTD, R.A.D and IDTA. Molly continued her training at Totnes School of Dance where she branched out and found her passion for new styles including Contemporary and Commercial.


Gaining a place at The Creative Academy, Molly trained full time in many styles and continued taking her vocational exams. At the end of her course, Molly received a First in her BA (Hons) Degree in Dance and her DDI Modern certificate.


Molly has performed in Bollywood and Contemporary companies, short films and adverts but decided her heart belonged to teaching.

Molly is now working towards her DDE Modern and is looking forward to sharing her knowledge with students.

Angela Humphreys, Ballet Teacher

ISTD DDE (Modern), LISTD (Ballet)


Angela has been dancing since 3 years old, at The Margaret Dixon School of Dancing in Sutton, where she gained ISTD Advanced 1 Qualifications in Imperial Classical Ballet, Modern Theatre and Tap Dance. During her training she also enjoyed performing in many local amateur and professional stage productions.


Whilst continuing dancing as a hobby, Angela completed a Masters Degree in Civil Engineering, and worked on many projects from re-building an underground reservoir, to improving fire safety on oil rigs, and new-build construction of residential houses.


After starting a family, Angela began training at The Linda Sweetzer Teacher Training College to become a qualified dance teacher. She now holds the higher teaching qualification Licentiate in Imperial Classical Ballet and Diploma in Dance Education (DDE) in Modern Theatre Dance. Along the way, she also gained her Advanced 2 in Imperial Classical Ballet.


Angela enjoys teaching students of all ages and has successfully entered many students for ISTD exams over the years, alongside supporting other training student teachers. She is proud to have taught her son who then went on to Tring Park School for the Performing Arts and is now currently studying at English National Ballet School. She is looking forward to sharing her love of dance with all her new students.

Storm Norris, Ballet Teacher

ISTD DDE & LISTD (Ballet) student, BA Hons in Dance, Chaperone Licenced


Storm has been dancing since the age of 3 at the Elizabeth Fenton School of Dancing studying ISTD Ballet, Tap and Modern as well as RAD Ballet. She took part in many festivals, All England Dance Competitions, ISTD Awards and examinations. She was an associate with the London Junior and Senior Ballet for several years.


Storm trained at Ballet West Scotland for 3 years where she graduated with a First in BA Hons in Dance. She won the Scottish Youth Ballet Grand Prix, she was a semi-finalist at the Genee International Ballet Competition, Portugal and was personally invited to the South African International Ballet Competition where she was the only UK candidate to participate.


Storm performed many soloist roles with the school with their annual tour around Scotland, including Myrtha (Queen of the Willis), Big Swans and Pas de trois.

Storm went on to perform with professional Ballet companies in Malaysia and Bulgaria.

She worked with the Ballet West International Touring Company and worked with the State Opera Stara Zagora Ballet in Bulgaria for just under 4 years.

She performed as lead soloist at the company and performed many classical ballets and contemporary work around Bulgaria and Germany.

A few being- Swan Lake, The Sleeping Beauty, The Nutcracker, Les Sylphides. Storm also danced and worked with ballet stars including Iana Salenko, Marian Walter and Denys Cherevychko.


Storm freelances often and is currently studying for her DDE and Licienciate Ballet qualification with the ISTD. She can’t wait to pass on her knowledge and experience to her students. She hopes to inspire and coach students and share her love for the art form.
